In the Autumn of 1992 Henning Schulze-Doering travelled to Malta in order to provide Golf coaching to clients from Northern European countries and found a very safe and English speaking country with the perfect climate for Golf.
The Royal Malta Golf Club together with the Marsa Sports Club provided a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where quality Golf tuition could be held – and the Golf Academy became an integral part of this setup, with Henning working as Head Golf Professional since 2001.
With well over 25 years of quality service to all age groups and various skill levels it is by far the longest established Golf Academy in the Mediterranean.
Henning never stopped learning and with the help of the PGA (Professional Golfers’ Association) of Germany, the PGA of Europe (now called the CPG), the German Golf Association (DGV), Sportmalta, the IOC (International Olympic Committee) and MOC (Maltese Olympic Committee) as well as the University of Budapest and Malta became a quality golf coach, who still believes that fun should be a major part of the fundamentals of Golf.
Henning co-founded the PGA of Malta and as Vice-Chairman led the association to be fully recognized by the PGA of Europe (now CPG) in 1998 – Malta is still a full member country and Henning has been Chairman since 2000.
Henning enjoyed leading the Maltese National Team to their biggest victory, a Silver Medal at the 2015 Games of the Small States of Europe (GSSE) in Iceland and was part of the team when they competed at the Mediterranean Games in Spain in 2018.
Henning holds dual citizenship (German and Maltese) and with the help of the MGA (Malta Golf Association) became a Special Olympics coach, ran a “Woman in Golf” program and is the Head Coach of a very vibrant Junior Academy of around 60 juniors.
In 2020 Henning was nominated for the CPG 5-Star Golf Professional Award.

The fact is, Henning is one of the best golf coaches I’ve experienced so far in the last 25 years. He not only has experience and expertise, he knows more about golf beyond the box to provide individual solutions, in such a playful way that new desire for play arises. I am very impressed and would book again because of him.
Great venue for a holiday golf day, me and a friend on holiday planned a day there and really enjoyed the day, professional establishment, friendly and after booking on line all went well.

Walk round was bliss course pristine. residents friendly and welcoming. Gorgeous club house and restaurant. A good challenge but fair. Pro and staff informative and helpful. well worth a visit.
An amazing day’s golf, the staff are fantastic with a real passion for the sport. The course has a number of hazards but have all been very well thought about. The signature hole is amazing to play viewing the pin through an archway in a wall sounds difficult but a good club selection and it’s a very satisfying feeling watch your ball drop by the pin. Booked on-line from the UK before leaving and Christina made it all so very easy and hassle free.
